I often pass by this aging sign on the east side of Baltimore marking the location of the old Goetze's Meat plant. While the plant may have moved (do they still sell Goetze's meats?!), the sign lives on. It's noble past is but a relic. It's meaning rusted out, a hulking monstrosity. It's only reason for being is perhaps the expense that it'd cost to remove it.
It leaves me to wonder what it'd look like if we got the chance to make it new, to renew the space. But to a Baltimorean, and particulalry for an East-sider, I dreamt up a refresh.
