Hairpin
Drawn from the tightest corner in F1, the Loews Hairpin in Monaco, this image is inspired by the motion of F1. Cars rush up the hill from the start darting left and right to the dictates of the iconic of street circuit.
They dodge the street imperfections in search of the best grip and the fastest times. Then they take the fast right hander-and stamp the brakes, yet navigate smoothly through the casino complex. All as a setup to go to the bottom of the hill and through the tunnel.
Full lock on the steering evokes the movement and the rush of drivers on an improbable circuit. The painting is 16"h x 60"w and the concepts for using real art to promote the circuit have been worked over a bit digitally.
